History
Established in 1983, the company developed and manufactured a micro-adjustable boring unit for the machine tool industry – “Rigibore”.
Proving highly popular and enjoying considerable sales success the tool became synonymous with the company, even as the initial concept and product range developed and expanded far beyond this.
In addition to a comprehensive catalogue of precision boring bars, heads, cartridges, units and inserts, we also quickly evolved a superior service in the design and manufacture of special tools using our in-house proprietary RADS™ software, in continuous development for the last ten years.
Over time, Rigibore® has established many collaborative partnerships with companies around the world. Most prominently, this includes our sister company in the USA, Rigibore® Inc, but also many others such as CITCO, Vibha, and Makino.
In recent years, Rigibore®’s achievements have been recognised within industry circles: in 2002 we won the Institute of Mechanical Engineers Manufacturing Excellence Award Best Small/Medium Enterprise, and in 2003 we took the award for Best Practice in IT and Customer Focus.
